We have been invited to make a return visit St Mary’s parish church in Greasley this summer. The concert will take place on SATURDAY 6th JUNE 2026 at 7.00pm. More details will follow shortly.
The 453 churches have been in touch and would like us to put on a concert for them. There are five churches in the Group, all linked by the A453 route: St George’s church, Barton in Fabis; the church of St Lawrence in Gotham; St Winifred’s church in Kingston on Soar; Holy Trinity Church, Radcliffe on Soar and All Saints’ church, Thrumpton.
The concert will take place in All Saints’ church in Thrumpton on SATURDAY 20th JUNE 2026 at 7.00pm. Plans are being finalised at the moment with the Group putting together their publicity which we will share here as soon as it is available.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Musical Director. Our previous MD retired at our ‘Sing Christmas’ concert last December and we started our search for a worthy successor more or less as soon as his decision was made. We advertised fairly extensively, short-listed the best two candidates and then ran auditions with both of them leading the choir for a rehearsal each.
Simon Ackroyd joined us for his first formal rehearsal on the 5th February and has been very well received by everybody. We will publish more about him and his ‘credentials’ shortly but meanwhile we look forward to his first public engagement with the Bluecoat Singers on Saturday 28th March 2026 at our next concert in The Church on Rise Park. Do come and meet him, he’s good fun….and very capable!

Last time we sang here it was a sell-out so book your tickets as soon as you can. They cost £10 including refreshments during the interval. You can buy them from any choir member or by phoning Pam on 0115 9531 903
